European Law Firms in the German Legal Market.
Jackson Law International participated in the biannual conference for the German-based legal network, DIRO, in Strasbourg, France. The goal was to strengthen its network of European law firms operating in the German-speaking countries known as the DACH region – Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. In fact, DIRO has a rigorous membership-selection process. The primary goal is to offer to the public legal services of exceptional quality and competence among European law firms. Membership, therefore, provides access to a select group of law firms. This allows Jackson Law International to expand the scope of services it can provide through cooperating agreements to its clients. This is not limited to its own offices in Germany. Rather, it is also through additional law firms offering practice areas that may not be covered by Jackson Law International.
Cross-Border Representation in the German Legal Market.
At the DIRO conference in Strasbourg, Germany, Jackson Law International was represented by Michael R. Jackson, who serves as the Managing Partner for the German entity, Jackson Law International Attorneys-at-Law & Rechtsanwälte Partnerschaftsgesellschaft. For Jackson Law International, an additional goal is to provide DIRO’s membership – comprised of a variety of European law firms – with highly competent legal representation of its German-speaking clients via Jackson Law International’s U.S. counterpart in the U.S. legal market. In addition, Jackson Law International is able to offer a fluid cross-border representation of its clients. This flows both from Germany to the United States and, in reverse, from the United States to Germany. As such, the firm offers a unique understanding of both markets.
Presentation topics related to quality certifications for European law firms, dispute resolution, and changes occurring in law firm due to artificial intelligence. Of course, not only were there spirited discussions and debates during the presentations. There were also lively exchanges during the breaks and meals between all present.
