James H. Daigle, Shareholder
† May 10, 2021
James H. Daigle, Jr., is an attorney and shareholder in Jackson Law International, with an office and practice in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he is licensed. His law practice focuses on domestic and international civil litigation matters, which include contractual disputes, personal injury litigation, maritime law, employment discrimination, and immigration law. Mr. Daigle practiced for a number of years in the field of insurance defense, the experience of which has served him well in a wide sphere of litigation matters.
Mr. Daigle was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. However, his mother was a German citizen, and he spent a great part of his youth in Straubing, Niederbayern in Germany. The strong French influence that exists in New Orleans, when coupled with his German upbringing, has given Mr. Daigle an ability to assist not only domestic clients but also international ones with a unique perspective. Having obtained his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University, in Washington, D.C., he obtained his Juris Doctorate degree from Tulane University Law School, well known for its European and Maritime Practice Programs. Mr. Daigle is licensed in Louisiana and admitted before various courts of Federal jurisdiction.
Mr. Daigle’s experience practicing in the state of Louisiana has also offered him a unique perspective on the differences between the Civil Law and the Common Law, because Louisiana, due to the state’s long history as a French and Spanish colony, is the only state in the United States that relies upon private law based on the Civil Law with which Europeans are familiar.
