JLI Seeks Associate Attorneys
Do you have German language skills?
We are looking for German-speaking attorneys for our Florida office. The reason is that our law firm mainly represents clients from Germany, Switzerland, and Austria.
As such, the client files routinely contain a significant number of documents in the German language. Thus, while we would prefer that an associate speak German, at minimum, we require that the attorney be able to read and comprehend the German language. Preference will be given to German-speaking attorneys, as the ability to communicate in one’s own native language with an attorney is typically reassuring for our clients.
What level of experience is required?
Experience is preferred but not necessary. Instead, we seek individuals with a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence, who can speak German with our clients and are familiar with the European culture. Compassion and a desire to help others are also welcome qualities in our attorneys.
Strong academic credentials and writing skills are necessary, as the cases often involve complex cross-border legal issues.
What work permission is required?
You must be authorized/permitted to work in the U.S. and be admitted to the Florida Bar and/or willing to pursue admission.
What are the office hours?
9 a.m. to 5 p.m. / Monday through Friday.
What benefits are available?
Health insurance, dental insurance, and paid-time-off are available after ninety (90) days of employment.
