2019 Annual Congress of International Lawyers - Nice, France - international lawyersJackson Law International had the privilege of attending the 2019 Annual Congress of the Asociación Europa de Abogados International Lawyers Network in France.

This organization (“the AEA”) has a strict process for the selection of its membership with the intention of offering to the public legal services that are based upon a uniform quality of standard and unimpeachable ethical standards among its membership. The AEA 2019 Annual Congress of International Lawyers was held in Nice, France, i.e., on the French Riviera.  Nice is on the east coast of France on the Mediterranean Sea. The city is nicknamed “Nice la Belle” – Nice the beautiful.  An archaeological site in Nice reflects very early use of fire in the area some 380,000 years ago. Around 350 B.C., Greeks founded a permanent settlement and called it Nikaia. The city has changed hands many times throughout history and, its strategic location and port contributed to its maritime strength.  Nice is visited by some four million tourists per year and, thus, also serves as an incredible location for a legal conference.

Through its membership in this organization, Jackson Law International builds upon its professional relationships with attorneys practicing world-wide in the field of international law.  The clients of Jackson Law International can turn to us, knowing that if they require assistance outside of the United States, they can rely upon us for recommendations of attorneys on a world-wise basis.

While the Congress consisted of a number of highly informative presentations by its membership, opportunities existed throughout the Congress to discuss legal issues in various countries and even secure helpful information from fellow attorneys regarding ongoing legal matters that touched on legal systems outside of the United States. In 2020, the meeting will be in Barcelona, Spain.
